SCRAP ROOM IS FINISHED!!!

We got up earlyish on Sunday and started getting the room ready for building the furniture. About 8.00pm we had finished and most of my stash was sorted and in! We got the computer up this morning and Gary put a shelf up for my flowers. I'm really chuffed with the way it turned out. Thanks Hub!!
The units are from Ikea and they hold all my albums, finished and not yet started! The red drawers underneath the table are from Ikea too, I just had to have them as they are red.

With putting two of the expedit desks together, I have lots of room to scrap and also for the computer.

This is a picture I did a couple of years ago. I got it at the Craft fair in the Kings Hall. It's all very small plastic squares.

I got this clock, Kaisercraft, so I sat down last night and it's the first thing I have made in my scrap room.

This used to be a built in wardrobe but Gary knocked it down and it made a inshot for more storage and of course my shelf for my flowers.

Thanks Gary, I love my new scrap room (wonder how long it will stay tidy!)

Snow is Falling

Sophs had great fun out in the snow yesterday, she made a snow baby! Then had a snowball fight with friends from next door. She wasn't quite so pleased when Daddy took the jeep and she couldn't get to school!! But it was only a half day as it was the last day before the hols. I was going to do some Christmas grocery shop this morning but I had to put it off til tomorrow.
We worked on my craft room over the weekend, the floor and ceiling is done and Gary did the door surround and the skirting yesterday so just to get it papered on Tuesday night, let it dry out over Christmas and build some furniture and move all my stash in next weekend! I still have to get a chair so if the snow goes away we'll head over to Ikea tomorrow after the shopping.
Happy Christmas to all
Luv

Party Pixies

Sophs had her Birthday party last night and all the girls had a great time. It was in a salon between Bangor and Newtownards esp for kids. We had 4 cars go over with 12 girls, although I think Gary got the noisiest ones! All the girls got their hair done, nails done and make up. They decorated buns, played games and had a karoke. The Party pixie girls provided all the food and drinks for the party, all we had to provide was the cake. I would recommend a Party Pixie Party for any girlie girls!

Sophs birthday isn't until 10th december but this was the only Friday night it suited because of the new AQE tests being on a Saturday morning. Its hard to believe she's nearly 11 and going to High School next year.

Kings Hall

Hi all,
Mum Sandra and me went to the kings hall on Thursday (I got the day off) and we had a ball. Although I think I spent the most!!! I got some stamps from Dimension fourth and from Little Claires, two of the punches from Crafty Devils, a bigz sizzix die to make advent calendars and some of the long cutting plates, 2 cricut cartridges even though I haven't got my pink cricut yet (DH ordered it for me for Christmas), an xcut glass mat and two more scrapbook albums and page protectors again from Crafty Devils (I really needed more scrapbook albums!!) I even came home with some money but not much! I meant to take a photo of all my new stash but I put it away before I remembered. Oh I got a bottle of Prima flowers and a set of 3 sizzlets of an angel, a penguin and a reindeer.

Sophs did her first AQE test this morning instead of the 11+. She was nervous but she thinks it went ok, 1 down and 2 to go, at least they will be over for her birthday. We're glad the first ones over. We wandered about Junction 1 while she was in the grammar school and I went into Paper Mill and some papers and 2 templates to make boxes, I think I will use the templates in my next Stampin Up workshop.

I'm going now to make an advent calendar with Sophs.
Bye for now Sam x

We have another challenge for next month and I sat up last night after I came home to finish it. I just have to add a chipboard '2' to it and I will upload it too. Have a great weekend x

Last post for today (Layouts 6 and 7)

Here's my last two layouts for today. I've been working hard:

Gary went up in the Wheel in Belfast and also a layout of Sophs up the coast.

Again I used Stampin Up Stamps and ink, cardstock- Fancy Pants, bazzil. Maya road stamps (date) and Stampin Up square punch.

Posting twice!!

Just finished my fifth layout today and planning my sixth!

Back again with more Layouts!

Hi everyone, just thought I would upload some of my recent layouts. Sophie is away for a couple of days at my friends Sandra's house and she is really enjoying playing with Sandra's two girls.

Well here are my layouts:

This was Halloween last year, Sophs wasn't well but she still was able to watch Hannah Montana's 3D concert and then watched Gary lighting sparklers. The photo of Gary was really spooky has you can see right through him! He moved away and the camera had a slow shutter speed.
This is at Antrim Forum during the day and I'm a little bit scared of birds as anyone who knows me will tell you! I was hiding behind the car taking photos.

This is Antrim Forum at night! Again I stayed in the jeep and had the window open the tiniest bit to throw the bread out, the cheeky swan in the middle actually pecked the window because the bread wasn't coming quick enough!

This is Sophs and her cousin Amy, playing in the park at Carnlough.

This is the same day and the cousins enjoyed Barry's.
There is a mixture of differnt patterned paper used including Cosmo Cricket, Basic Grey and K and Co. Cardstock is Bazzil, coredinations and Stampin Up. The stamps are Stampin Up.
I'm going to do some more layouts today so I will post them later x

New stamps

I got my new stamps from Stampin Up this morning so I am busy putting them together! I got 3 free stamp sets as I qualified for Stampin Start, you had to sell so much Stampin Up in the first 3 months of being a demonstrator and I did it. So I am planning to play today, might even post a card later on!
Have fun x

We had great fun at Stephanies last night and I started two layouts and then got them finished this morning. Here they are:

We used the new papers from Little Yellow Bicycle, and bazzil/coredinations cardstock. I used some stampin up stamps and inks and fancy pants clear stamps and a cuttlebug alphabet. Have fun whatever you are doing today.

I'm Back ! ! !

I couldn't believe how long it is since I posted so I thought I would put all my recent scrapbook pages on to make up for it. I'm not going to list all the stash I used coz I can't remember!! Well here goes:

Sophs hadn't ridden Joey for a while and she really enjoyed the lesson.

Jacqui, Sophs riding instructor had picked Sophs and 2 other girls form her riding lesson to compete in the British Horse Society Equitation Competition. Sophs was practicng on another horse as she couldn't ride Joey because he doesn't have a bit as his mouth is sore. this is Roly.
Sophie got 3rd in the Comp.

Sophie wanted a change from riding Joey as she is getting a bit to tall for him now!! So Jacqui suggested Pippa, a lovely chestnut pony. Sophie really enjoyed this lesson out in the field doing cross country jumps. She handled Pippa very well. She has since ridden her indoors and wants to ride her now for her lessons.

Well theres todays update! Hopefully I won't leave it so long next time. I'm going to Stephanie's tonight for the Kit Club so if I get it finished I'll upload it tomorrow.

Storage for Stash!!

I've just spent a couple of hours sorting out all my cardstock. My friend Sandra ordered these really useful boxes from QVC for me. I already had 1 so now I have 3. They are really useful!!! I didn't realise I had as much cardstock.

I'll be able to find the colours more easily, all I need now is a craft room!!

By the way the training day for Stampin Up was really good, even got a free stamp set. x

New Mag

We went into Belfast this morning as I had heard of Scrapbook Trends being sold in WHSmiths! I got the last copy of it. It's an English version of the American one. It seems really good and it's only £5.99. I knew there was a card making one so I phoned mum and of course my battery went dead on my phone but she managed to say she wanted one and my friend Sandra had wanted a scrapbooking one so Easons had them too. I really like these mags, not many advertisements just lots of layouts and ideas. So next one is out on 29 May so that will be another visit into Belfast!!

Sophs is busy reading her new book that she got in WHSmiths - Miley Cyrus's Biography, she has hardly spoke since we came home!

I'm away to read my new mag X

More Stash

My friend Mabel (Sandra) had a Stampin Up party for me on Friday night and she got alot of sales and she got a level 3 hostess gift! Thanks Sandra. Then on Saturday we went to Mandy's as she is sadly closing next week and we both bought more stamps although I didn't spend as much as Sandra!! I've been stamping with my new stamps but haven't actually made anything yet. I'm going to sit down now and have another play. Happy Bank Holiday Monday!

Sizzix Dies

I've just posted on UKscrappers some sizzix dies I don't use, most of them have only been used to try them! Thought I would try and sell and buy something I would use!!! Like more Stampin Up sets! Not sure when it'll get approved or if anyone is buying sizzix at the mo.

I actually finished a layout today after work so I might even post it later, I hadn't been scrapping recently coz I'm sorting out cards and boxes for my stampin up workshops!

Love Sam x

Its so good to be off!!

We have been really busy these last few days. Yesterday we went to Portstewart Strand for a walk and Sophs ended up going for a paddle. Do you think it was cold?

Soooo Busy

I've been really busy, between Sophies practices for the Horse Competitions and I'm now a Stampin Up demonstrator I haven't had time to blog.
Sophs was in a BHS Equitation Competition today at her riding school and she got 3rd for the 13 and under class. She was the youngest competing and she had her first ever fall! A bit of a shock but she got on again and jumped again. She looked so grown up in her competition clothes.

Really proud of Sophs.

Oxford Island

We went to Oxford Island today for a walk. It was pretty cold but we had a great time spotting all the birds and squirrels! Ended up taking quite a few photos and here are a couple Also on New Years Eve Gary was outside and heard alot of birds. He called me and there was at least 100 birds on our trees out the back. They were birds we hadn't seen before so Gary got the camera and I phoned mum and dad. Dad came straight over with his camera and long lens. They were taking photos and Dad thought they were lapwings. I looked out the front and there was two people on the other side of the road with binoculars and a telescope. Gary went over to them and said they could come up round the back. They explained that the birds were wax wings and they came from Scandinavia, they hadn't been over for a couple of years and never in such a big flock. They come for the berries when its too cold where they normally live. We got a few photos, heres one:

The wax wings didn't came back on New Years Day but have been eating the berries every day since, that many berries left now!

Well, I didn't get any scrapping done over the holidays and I'm back to work tommorrow! It was really great having the two weeks off especially as Sophs was off for two weeks and Gary was off for most of it.
